Above are photos of Pat holding one of her 3 spouted discus vases, a large round platter with handles and stand, a large free-form bowl and a tulip bowl.

"Three spouted discus" is only one design that is unique to my "Impressionist Raku". We create large vases that can be adapted for lamp bases, round and rectangular platters, free form bowls, square and rectangular plates, small, medium and large vases and something we call "Sushi Plates". If you see an item that appeals to you and it has been sold, we can make another one--although it won't look exactly like the original because of all the variables that go into the completion of each creation. Please, allow 6 weeks for special orders.

The discus series combines a slab built base that is shaped like a flying saucer and one or several wheel thrown necks or spouts. It can be fitted with a wrought iron stand to increase its size and impact as an "architectural piece". The large platters and bowls are also slab built with decorative additions. Size varies from small to "architectural". Plates may be wall mounted or used in stands. We have custom iron stands available as special orders. They make wonderful focal points in entryways, bookshelves or mantel pieces.

Please note that it is extremely difficult to accurately depict the color, texture and metallic nature of the art work by photograph or web... you just gotta see it.
